First and foremost, I'm a mom.  I say that first because it's the most important part of my life.  My kids are now grown and in college, and I'll tell you that it really did seem to go by in the blink of an eye.  This past year, as I've adjusted to being an Empty Nester, I have to say that the one thing I'm happiest about is that I have tons of photographs of my children in my home, reminding me of their fleeting childhoods.

But I wasn't always a mom.  And I wasn't always a photographer.  I was always the girl at the art table, constantly creating.  On Saturday mornings when I had a few hours free, I'd go out and photograph nature.  And one day in 2006 I took my first digital photography class, and it changed my life forever.  One class led to another, and then another, and soon I found myself in a professional photography program through the Washington School of Photography.  I knew early on that I wanted to capture people -- from newborn babies to high school seniors and families.  I can look at a beautiful landscape, but until I put a person in it, it just doesn't seem complete to me.

I love photographing newborn babies (who wouldn't!) and I've been called a Baby Whisperer.  I love preschoolers, tweens and also high school seniors!  I am a very easy-going and relaxed person - which helps put my clients at ease and makes for the most natural shots possible.  If you like my work, I'd love to work with you.  Hopefully we can capture a special moment in your child's life -- one you'll look back on and cherish even more when they're grown.
